Good second set. And decent match as a whole. The score is fair. Stakhovsky was the better player but Dan held his own.

(The 207 isn't definite, is it? - depends what others around him are doing this week, doesn;t it ?)

Dan's still got a LOT of points to defend over the next month or so - 69 points coming off in August and 43 coming off in September. I still think he'll have a little drop.

But a first Challenger semi, good tennis, and 100% commitment : it's always a pleasure to watch him

Stakhovsky is a very good player for most Challengers so that's a decent score and a decent second set from Dan. I think it's definitely a good start; he has a way to go with the points coming off but you can't ask for much more than a first Challenger SF and a loss to the 2nd seed.
