This is the worst match I've watched in ages. Nevolo literally just chipping it back.

Yeah, pretty horrid overall. But more horrid from Dan than Dennis.

NB Pretty sure Nevolo did college but has been graduated for a while now.

Yes. The dulcet tones of @MikeCTennis.

haha, I have him on mute. does it annoy anyone else how Americans say break chance instead of break point?

Freerider - in the friendliest way possible, you need something REAL to worry about  smilesmilesmile

After all, it is a break chance i.e a chance to break. (The French say 'break ball')

 good point well made

The good news is that the draw has opened up somewhat for Cox/Jenkins as the last DA defeated 4th seed Copil this afternoon.

Make that *5-1 as Dan wins 4 straight points from 40-15 down.

Rain Delay.

Good stuff, Dan.

He wins 6-3 6-2

Plays Jared Donaldson (17 years old ?) next.

Yes. 17 years old and has won, I think, three futures in the past few weeks. Not an easy draw.

No seeds left in Dan's quarter here! Very big opportunity :)

Always a bit risky counting unhatched chickens ... but a very nice win today.

^ Sorry, I didn't realise this until I saw your post Spectator.

Nevertheless, it's a good chance to get to the semis at least with him being the highest ranked player in his quarter now.
