RE: Week 29 - Challenger ($50,000+H) - Granby, Canada (Hard)

Gabb loses the first set, 6-3, which is a decent score against the WR 84, but Gab''s backhand is a nightmare and Lacko has a few more gears, I reckon, if needed.

Well, Lacko DOES have a few more gears - lower ones !

Richard serves well, gets the BH back in court, Lacko decides coming into the net on daft balls would be a good tactic - and Gabb breaks.

And now Lacko won't even sit down at changeovers - just goes round the other post - and is having a bit of a sulk, from the look of it.

Allez, Richard !

And Gabb breaks again, thanks to some excellent running and court coverage, and a few dumped balls from Lacko.

And then serves it out, to a Lacko who's not even making the effort now.

So Gabb gets the second set 6-1

I assume Lacko'll re-start in the third but who knows ???

Lacko definitely making more of an effort - but Gabb STILL manages to break AND, after an effort, hold serve.

Keep going, lad !

edit: and then Lacko plays a shocker !

3*-0 to Richard . . .

 . . . and lacko takes a MTO - right knee ? thigh ? maybe  . . .

Make that 4-0* now.  Lacko imploding ŕ la Sam Querrey in the DC?

Wow - what a result.

Gabb played very well, but Lacko?? I'm not sure what happened after the first set. No effort, strange shots, schoolboy errors.

Yes. Absolutely. And I can't really believe it was the 'injury' - he only got the trainer on at 0-3 in the third.
