Bit of a shock for marcus, being beaten by Adam TB.

But Marcus coming back from slight injury ?

Bruce and Bothwell are into a third set.

Decent result from George (the French man, Tchoutakian, is having a nightmare time over here . . . )

Would have been pleased whether jathan or jonny won so, this time, points for jathan . . .

JWH a break up. All the rest on serve.

So, there's going to be one guaranteed semi-finalist and 8 point winner between Adam TB, Bothwell, George C and Malik.

Guess George is the favourite but that's a nice points ticket waiting . . :)

So all four top quarter matches won by the lower ranked player. George just lower.

Be some welcome ranking points there and a no doubt frustrated Marcus.

Seb Rey, doing his best to keep the peskies at bay, takes the first set, 7-6(3)

Neil wins 6-3 -64 v George Morgan

JWH has, seemingly, one bad service game and loses the second set 6-3

In the battle of the qualifiers, well done Seb rey who beat Kalambay 7-6(3) 7-6(2)

Joe has just had set point against Ed (always a potential banana skin, this, for Ed who must be a little low on confidence too at the moment)

One point in it, I think, and Ed get the first set 7-6(5)

After a mammoth first set, Myles Orton also wins the tie-break 7-6(7) v Hutt

And Adam Skalsky wins the first re Nico Rosenzweig

Adam Skalsky goes on to beat Nico Rosenzweig 4&2. So only 1 Non-Brit in R2 and that is the young lad from Ireland, Peter Bothwell who trains at Soto, so we will (half) forgive him for his victory over Bruce today.  wink

In all seriousness, it is his 1st ever ATP ranking point, so many congrats to him.

Ed and Joe in a ding-dong battle. 5-5 in the 2nd set. 11 service games each so far and no breaks at all.

Meanwhile Myles is serving for the match at *5-2
