25pts as well which should mean a ranking of low 300's next week. On top of that with no points to defend until October ranking should only go higher and guarantee LTA matrix funding for next year.

Great week for Katy, and surely much more to come. Really backs up the theory that when a player survives a match they really should have lost, it provides them with massive momentum for the rest of the week.

What a massive crowd for a 15k final must be around 500 people there?

My initial reaction was, as has been suggested before, and indeed shown in other places, that it is remarkable what can be achieved if you try a bit of marketing and indeed make it a real event ( with associated entertainment ). Not something the LTA seem bothered about with young people, who you never know could be inspired, no doubt being unaware of a GB professional tennis event on their doorstep.

That all stands, but didn't stop me more and more smiling at the wonderfully OTT build up to the final :)
