And the third seed (in her quarter) went out too so Carreras will get either the Q Dodin or Remondina WR 466 CH 219

Mandy played this tournament in 2012 when it was a 2012. She made the SFs beating Balducci, Remondina and EWS's bete noir Majeric. Fingers crossed that she can keep going.

Sad to hear that Katie has tonsillitis, as this looks like a good opportunity to rack up some points.

Katie won the first set 6-4, and is 4-1 up in the second, not so bad if she has got some tonsillitis. she's got doubles later on too.

My pick as a banana skin, qualifier Océane Dodin, won her match today in two sets against the WR 466.

But all good things should come to an end - so next up for her is Mandy - time to re-establish order, Miss Carreras.
