Boys: Nike Junior International Edinburgh, clay - Grade 5 (Week 28)

As usual Edinburgh hosts a Grade 5 at this time of year, which gives an opportunity for young teenagers to make a mark.  Half of the first round was played today, including a win for Jake Hersey, who is our top ranked under 14 in the Tennis Europe rankings. Another 14 year old, Jack Molloy, was among the early winners. Charlie Ridout and Thomas Wright are the top 2 seeds, with the full draw on the link below

Their first names seem to suggest a more privileged background shall we say. May be completely off but going from previous experience

There's a Tennis Europe Under 14s event taking place at Edinburgh at the same time as the ITF Juniors so just to give the participants their moment:

SF: (2) Harry Butler def. (4) Cameron Kerr 6-2 6-2

Final: (2) Harry Butler v (6) Brandon Murphy

Julian Lewis and Brandon Murphy won the doubles final.
