Surprising early break for Dan! And he holds. 2-0*

Dan is off to a flyer, hit two superb passing shots in the process of breaking in the first game, and then held to love! More please! 2-0*

Unfortunately Muller breaks straight back and we're all square. 2-2*.

Shows the margins, it was Mullers 5th BP and there was a big argument whether or not Dan's winner was in or not.

Doesn't change a whole heap of beans, but Muller footfaults every time from the ad-court. Not over the line but in terms of the centre line. At the start of his movement, his back foot goes over the central dividing line - by quite a way sometimes.

Thanks for that - I had been wondering if they were foot faults.

Shame. Dan let that set get away from him at 2-0 up, when Muller wasn't getting the ball in the court and Dan was going strong and suddenly made some loose UEs, and let his opponent have a chance to get into his stride.

I thought Dan was the better player over the set as a whole.

I agree CD, you can see the improvements Dan has made regardless of what happens now, only thing I would say is that he could do with is improving the return of first serve.

As I type, like in the first Dan breaks first game! *1-0

Kyle turned up the heat and his opponent completely Deseintigrated. Well, not completely, but hey, why let the truth get in the way of a bad pun.

Kyle makes his 1st Challenger Semi. Fantastic achievement.

I'm guessing you had that pun lined up half way through the 2nd set. And I agree shame to waste it ;)

Had it lined up since last night actually but kept it quiet as I didn't want to jinx anything.

If there were levels for puns, that one would be either Masters or GS. Dreadful, but wonderful.

Muller showing his class I'm afraid, it's probably the end for Dan now this week.

yes. Muller deserved that second set.

Shame about the first.

But lots of positive stuff for Dan C too.

Well done Kyle, bad luck Coxy.

And Bob clearly had Deseins on getting his pun in well in advance.

Looks like Dan's limit against Müller this year is 7 games per match (he lost 3 & 4 last time) but another good week for him.

QF: Kyle Edmund WR 312 beat Niels Desein (BEL) WR 234 (CH 164 in 2010) by 4 & 4
QF: Dan Cox WR 224 lost to (2) Gilles Müller (LUX) WR 84 (CH 42 in 2011) 4 & 3

SF: Kyle Edmund WR 312 v (2) Gilles Müller (LUX) WR 84 (CH 42 in 2011)

Another decent show by Dan. I think that he has generally surpassed many folk's expectations over the last year, including in challengers.

But seven games doesn't win a match, and it was Kyle who managed a desein.

SF:  (2) Sergey Betov & Alexander Bury (BLR/BLR) CR 246 (124+122) defeated Jamie Delgado & Gilles Müller (LUX) CR 356 (114+242) by 3 & 4

Disappointing, but still not a bad effort from by Delgo & Gilles.
