I still don't see why the women should be capped on 100k ITFs whereas the guys are not capped on their challengers, even if they're only 35k challengers. Doesn't seem logical but agree that that is what is written.
However, if the rule says £500 for qualifying, I still think, according to the strict wording, you should get it as you have indeed qualified.
And, yes, obviously she should get the round 1 winner £500 if she wins the round 1.
Thinking about it, do you get the round 1 winners bonus if, in fact, you win by w/o ? (same for all other rounds of course).
Again, I can't see anything on the LTA page saying you don't. But that might be a summary page and there's a more detailed rule list somewhere.
I think that only applies to futures events the cap paulisi?
Yes, but the 100k events ARE futures events.
That's why it seems unfair to me - the guys futures only go up to 15k and then they have challengers whereas the women's futures go up to 100k and they aren't any challenger equivalents.
Unless the women's 50k and 100k events are excluded from the Futures limit (despite being futures).
A big fightback from Nik and partner to force a MTB from a set and a break down, but a double fault at *5-2 pretty much signals the end of the comeback, and they lose to top seeds Minelle/Thorpe 63 36 10-6
Still, a QF points haul and an encouraging performance against two players hovering around the 100 mark. Steps back in the right direction.
