RE: Week 27 - Great Britain F12 ($15,000) - Manchester (grass)

Could well be an all Gosling final as Dave Rice has taken the first set 6-3

As well as taking him into his first Futures singles final, George's win today should see him break into the top 700 for the first time with room to spare (probably in the 660s)

Final starts at 12 and is showing as being played indoors.

If there is viewing, I will go.

A win for Josh would see him back in the Top 500  wink

Ah, but playing the longer "20 in the top 500" game, a title for George might be useful :)

Forecast is good for tomorrow, so should be outdoors assuming the courts were well covered. The Northwest has had about 10 hours of permanent rain.

Nice to see some of the lesser ranked(500-900) players starting to push on now.

Totally agree. Will be happy either way. One or two others lower down are beginning to show a bit of form as well. Just a pity that Cam Norrie is (a) injured and (b) off to college or he would be a cert for the Top 500 by the end of the year IMHO.   Of course going off to college may be the best thing for him in the long term.

Under way and currently George leading by a break at *3-2

More breaks than holds so far though so can't read too much into this.

Josh storms back from *2-4 down to win the 1st set 6-4. He seems to like winning games in "batches" this week.

And just to confirm the "topsy-turvy" nature of the match, George then breaks in the 1st game of the 2nd set.  11 games so far and 6 breaks of serve.

George has had at least a couple of Match Points in the third set but Josh won't go away. . .

We are rapidly approaching squeaky culo time.  Josh has saved at least 2 MPs although live scores hasn't been that reliable.

Scores so far (Josh first) 6-4 1-6 *5-6
