That's george's best 'counter' this year i.e. last 12 months. Maybe ever ?
Should take him to around WR 725-730, which might even take out his old CH.
Well done to him.
Brydan wins 6-4 6-3. He was playing well at the Wimbly qualis - seems to have found some form/desire. Joe's best 'counter' though, too, (and best victory, re Neil?) so no bad showing.

Steven retweeted a Gosling picture on outdoor courts(practice court). I wonder if they started outdoors. The forecast was awful from lunchtime onwards.
"If you know it will rain, why would u play 2 rounds of matches when u have 7 courts and only 4 matches to play. Baffling. Incredible."
If they are playing outdoors, then a) that might explain to change to the OoP this morning (the ATP site OoP and the ITF site OoP differ) and b) I agree with him.

The weather cleared up last night as the doubles was played outdoors. They could easily have cancelled the doubles final and played the singles quarter finals on four separate courts.
They could then have played the semis this morning, before the rain came and the doubles final indoors later in the day.
The tournament organisers are not the normal LTA crew.
Meanwhile Dave won through and Oli and Josh are into a third set.
