50,000 march today against austerity in London

Just thought you should know if you didn't already as it probably won't get any media coverage...

You're right, it was me, but I didn't delete it - I moved it and put it into the general Chat section for the simple reason that it has nothing to do with British men's tennis - it should still appear near the top of the Recent Posts lists, which I assume is what most people use on here. I'd have done that (and I assume most of the other mods would have too) whether I agreed with the content or not.

I'll leave this on the British men's thread for a little while to give you the chance to see it (since it looks like you don't use the Recent Posts option) and then I'll merge it into the thread I moved.

Those at the march should try living in Spain.

Yes, how completely fascinating that even the Guardian and the Mirror don't mention it.

Possibly it's because it just isn't very newsworthy. The photos (on Sara Firth's Twitter) show that the numbers appear to be nowhere near 50,000. About 1,000 would be my guess.

Isn't it just a load of civil servant annoyed, because they might have to do a bit of work for a change????.

The Guardian website have covered it - http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/jun/21/protest-march-austerity-london-russell-brand-peoples-assembly
