RE: Week 26 - USA F18 ($10,000) - Rochester, NY (clay)

Must be disheartening to hear the people around you praise your general performance but to see little reward for it. This is a positive step for Toby and hopefully one of many!

Toby holds and although he is a break down at 4-5* he has actually won more points than his opponent.

With apologies to Liam and Ash, I will have to check their results in the morning. As a self confessed "light-weight", it is well passed my bedtime here. Good luck to them both.

Sleep tight, Bob - after all, you are an hour later, I imagine :)

And you may well not be able to stay up anyway as Ash looks like he's in for a LONG time on court.

He's just won the second set in another tie-break.

There were no breaks at all in the first 2 sets in Ash's match according to ITF livescores.

Liam is on the verge of going out too - he was 1-5* down in the 3rd when I checked but broke Smith when he served for the match.

3-6 6-2 *2-5

I guess the only consolation here is that I took the decision to get my beauty sleep when I did and didn't sit up watching live scores. Not the news I was hoping for when I got up this morning.

Ash and Toby gave a walkover in their doubles. Hope both were just tired as opposed to having picked up a niggle . . .
