Also Ive just heard on one of the streams that there will be tunnels leading to all the courts soon, which is news to me. Seems like a real shame to lose the experience of walking among the players.
L128: Heather Watson WR 60 v Ajla Tomljanovic (CRO) WR 53 (CH 51 this month) - 2nd on Court 3 on Tuesday
L128: (WC) Samantha Murray WR 247 v (5) Maria Sharapova (RUS) WR 5 (CH 1 in 2005) - 2nd on Court 1 on Tuesday
L128: (WC) Tara Moore WR 250 v (WC) Vera Zvonareva (RUS) WR 566 (CH 2 in 2010) - Court tba n/b 17.00 BST
L128: Johanna Konta WR 96 lost to Peng Shuai (CHN) WR 61 (CH 14 in 2011) by 6-4 3-6 6-4
L128: (WC) Naomi Broady WR 163 beat Tímea Babos (HUN) WR 92 (CH 59 in 2012) by 2-6 7-6(7) 6-0
Fantastic win for Naomi - I'm so glad the nerves didn't get to her again and she grabbed her chance In R2, she will probably play Wozniacki, who was a set and a break up v Peer when play was suspended.

Great to see her follow up her follow up her improvement over the last few months by doing it on the biggest stage and she looked to be really enjoying herself by the end of the match.
Jo could have won today, but and this is the most important thing going forward, she is now back to a great setup off the court with Lisnard and they have retained the services of fitness guy Mark Taylor. So eventhough she has lots of points to defend, she is probably in a good position to defend most of those going forward. Great to hear she is getting help from a sports psychologist, another smart move, so I'm very positive going forward.
And Naomi, well that was my tip of the day, but it didn't look too good after the 1st set, but Babos is very flakey and when Naomi got on top Babos faded badly with Naomi going from strength to strength. Great interview afterwards as well.
A pretty complimentary article about JoKo's match on the Wimbledon site - but partly because the journalist got it all backwards:
"On the other side was the defending Ladies Doubles champion who she had only faced once before, in 2013 on the hard courts of Guangzhou.
On that occasion the Eastbourne resident had only managed four games. This time she was out for revenge . . ."
I do wonder - do these journalists ever think of checking with steven first ? He could really set them right :) (although it might be a bit of a fulltime job)

Sudden panic as I wondered if it was me who had got it the wrong way round (even though I remember JoKo's win from the time) - fortunately not!
In answer to the last question, yes, some of them do - I've had 3 Wimbledon-related direct messages from journalists on Twitter fact-checking about Brits in the last couple of days. They tend to be journos who are pretty good with their facts in the first place though, i.e. it's only journos who are conscientious and care whether they get their facts right who would even think to ask in the first place.

You should charge for that service ;) These journos should really do their own research via what is commonly known as the internet.
Great win for Naomi, but it was handed on a plate in the third set as Babos just made error after error.
We knew Babos was flakey as Katy beat her quite easily as well and then she got in as LL and made rnd 3
Good points, but that extra prize money will really help Naomi move on. She has played an awful lot this year, so I would hope she may have a rest after Wimbledon and take on the help offered by the LTA to tidy up bits of her game.
I'd love to be able to charge for the service LOL but in the absence of that being possible, I'd rather journos got things right than wrong so I don't mind helping from time to time. Also, it's not like everything they ask can be answered solely with my own original research and even when it can, I use data on the ITF (or a similar) site, so it's probably not that simple even if people were prepared to pay.
