As usual this Wimbledon warm-up event attracts a field stronger than non-slam Grade As. No Brits are direct entries but Rhett Purcell, Alex Sendegeya, Julian Cash, Joel Cannell, Joshua Sapwell, Jay Clarke, Marcus Walters and Max Stewart are all contenders for main draw wildcards. The main draw starts on Sunday with qualifying (two rounds) starting tomorrow at Surbiton.
Results are on the ITF site but not yet the LTA. Jamie may be happy not having a wildcard as he was the only one to beat a non-Brit seed (Daniel Little also beat 16th seed Shamael Chaudhry)
Final qualifying completed and Jamie does indeed qualify in impressive style, losing only 9 games to two seeds. Unfortunately Lewis Roskilly and Dan Little missed out.
Half the number of Brits that are in the girls draw, but unlike the girls they have all avoided top 8 seeds. Max Stewart takes on a talented but temperamental Aussie

Brilliant win for Cash. Taifoe is a great player. Watched bits of him on youtube. On hardcourts in the USA he's been unbeatable the past 12 months but looks like he hasn't adjusted well to A being abroad and B playing different surfaces

Kamil Majchrzak has also ATP ranking of 770 and has recently won a futures.
Thanks Sofa - I only checked the ones Brits had beaten or gone close against, but the fact that Majchrzak has a much higher ATP ranking than any of them is very relevant info and probably explains the scoreline!
Julian has beaten Berrettini (junior WR 65, no ATP ranking yet) 7-6(5) 6-4 to make the QFs
