The crowd was fantastic for that match! From a distance, I thought Katie was Naomi Broady. She's a pretty tall young lady! Didn't see the match as I was on the opposite court, but they sounded pretty chuffed with the result! Well done Katy/ie

Really pleased to see Aleksandra Wozniak qualify for the main draw. Recently qualified for the French to as well as having a good run at Birmingham last week - coming through qualifiers then knocking out Watson and Konta before narrowly losing in three sets to Flipkens. Good to see her back and one of those who thoroughly earned the right to be there and pick up £27,500 - unlike some I could mention.

I didn't see much of it but the Katy/ies seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves, and trying hard, even if they were slightly out-classed, which was only to be expected and didn't really matter. They lost 6-1 6-4.
