RE: Week 25 - Wimbledon women's qualifying

Both girls lost the first set. Second sets looking better.

Em now a break up 4-1*

Gabi had a break point too but it was saved. Now 2-1* to her.

And Emily wins the second set !!!!!!

Her tweet says 'four down, two to go' - is this going to be the five down, one to go moment ????

Gabi in some super long games, 3-2*, Smitkova to serve

Emily had 3 BP's in the first game of the third but couldn't convert. Gabi is keeping it tight.

Em :(

Really needed to take one of those chances in the first game of the decider. Facing break point now.

From livescore alone, that second set seems to have been very tight. But Gabi loses 6-3 6-4.

A great couple of days. A little part of me thought she had a real shot today given Freya beat this girl in Notts, but not to be.

Em 1-3*

Em is broken from 40-15 and Kovinic serves out to win 61 36 61

So sad for her. She did have her chance at the start of the decider, but perhaps she wanted it a little too desperately.

A pity, but they both did very well to win a round, and at least 20 ranking points is a worthwhile amount (relative to what the men get, at least)

In the battle of the Katy/ie-bashers, Paszek bagelled Brianti in the 1st set in less time than it took her to bagel Katy yesterday.
