Tamara saves a bp then holds *0-1. Is Katy's arm really in a fit state to play ?
Katie B recovers from 2-5 to 5-5 in tiebreak. Wins it 7-5

Why do you suggest arm? It was her hip that was the problem at Edgbaston.
She tweted that miracles happen and she was fit for today. Paszek is a big ask to win against.
Poor memory. I just checked the Birmingham thread as I couldn't remember which part of her was injured. Was about to edit my post but you beat me to it.
Currently *0-3

I'd agree Paulisi, I think the lure of Wimbledon led her to probably believe she was fit when she wasn't. Still, although she was bagelled every game in that second set went to deuce!
Not sure what happened with her serve but the difference between her return games and her service games was striking. She had bp in all but one of TP's service games.
Katie B had at least one bp in long game game at 2-2* AB eventually holds for *2-3 Katie fights back from 15-40, saving at least 3 bps but is finally broken 2-4*

I've been doing other things so not paying much attention.
Quick hold for AB *2-5 down 15-40 saves a mp 2-6
Katie had good positions in all 3 sets. *3-1 40-15 in the first set. 4 bps at 2-2 in the 3rd. Seemed like a decent effort overall, especially the fight back from 2-5 to take the 2nd set tiebreak but probably regrets not making the most of the opportunities that came her way.

Disappointing end to the match for Katie, having had 4 break points at 2-2* and a game point *2-3
Good experience for her though, and she proved she is up to the task of competing with the top 250 girls here and in Notts. Exciting to see how she develops.
She probably does regret it, as one of the things that comes across is that she is looking to win, not just excited to be there. But that's quite a remarkable showing for someone at her stage - and certainly bodes well for the future.
I have to say, wimbledon qualies is usually a bit of a downer but I feel so positive from today.
Stunning from Gabi, and really good efforts from Freya and Katie (the latter no doubt bitterly disappointed not to take her chances) against very experienced opposition.
Katy again proving her worth as a top 250 player against an excellent opponent.
Em doing it for the old skool.
Lisa and Jade showing welcome signs of form after difficult injury problems, Lisa in particular to really have the first set almost in touching distance against Kovinic was so impressive.
Gabi's section is actually wide open. I suspect she may have a bit of a comedown, it will be hard to repeat that level, but let's hope she just enjoys herself and does herself justice once more.
