RE: Week 24 - Belgium F2 ($15,000) - Binche (Clay)

He had at least 2 bps at 5-4 and was 6-4 up in tie break, so it was either 5th or 6th attempt.

Come on Alex - go and win the second set. some good points for SF in 15ks

Cracking win for Alex, getting it done 7-6(7) 6-4.

Just about covered his points from last years Challenger now. He could go on and win this!!

He's not going to have much chance to practice on the grass. Might not be back in the UK to Sunday night. I assume Wimbledon qualis start Monday

Looking at his schedule, he is going to be getting back to the dirt after Wimbledon anyway. You never know though! I think Alex has a lot of potential myself.

I'd rather he go on and win this than get one win at Wimbledon qualis from a long term point of view.

SF: (5) Alex Ward WR 343 v Florian Fallert (GER) WR 737 (CH 732 last month)

SF:  Florian Fallert (GER) WR 737 vs (5) Alex Ward WR 343

The German has a CH of 732 (last month), but after swatting aside an unranked Spaniard by 1 & 0 in the first round, he went on to take the scalps of Joris de Loore (6/388) in the second & the top seed, Germain Gigounon (WR 258) in the QF!

Edit:  Damn it!  Beaten by that man Steven again by 15 seconds!

For once I feel bad, because you used those 15 seconds to convey some extra info. Anyway, the good thing is, that makes both posts worth keeping
