Week 24 - ATP World Tour 250 - Queen's Club, London (grass) - doubles

Nothing of any consequence (foreign tournaments don't really count, do they? The world begins and ends at SW19 ...)

Jamie & John on a roll:

SF:  Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 65 (32+33) defeated (7) Julien Benneteau & Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA/FRA) CR 21 (12+9) by 6-4 7-6(4)

Jamie & John actually served for the match at 5-4 in the second...

*****

Final:  Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 65 (32+33) vs (2) Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares (AUT/BRA) CR 6 (3+3)

Brilliant

Will the final be televised/streamed?

Wonderful win. Nice to have a Murray in the final!

The doubles final precedes the singles final & the Beeb's coverage doesn't in theory start until 14.00 on BBC2, so it looks unlikely ( furious ), but maybe the fact that there's a Brit in it (& a Murray to boot) will persuade Auntie to open up earlier...

I would be staggered if it wasn't available on the red button.

It'll have to shove the reel of repeating World Cup highlights off the red button, and you can't have too much World Cup, hmm.

I seriously do not expect the BBC to make the doubles final available. But will be very pleasantly surprised if they do.

I will be amazed if it is (but very pleased!)

If they don't the LTA should sell the rights to a broadcaster who will take the tournament seriously.

Check ESPN - they are also covering live in UK(free with BT)

BT are showing women's doubles at Birmingham.

ESPN coverage doesn't start until 2pm on current advertised schedule .

Live Score Hunter does show streams for this match as from 1pm but, although encouraging that is not necessarily a guarantee there will be any.

nl.unibet.net/betting

Unibet are showing it as a televised event starting at 12.05

I'm not registered with Unibet but it's very hopeful there will be other streams.
