That's weird - I went into the thread, saw nobody had posted the result, posted it then found SC had done the same 7 minutes ago. Maybe one of those weird times when Activeboard fails to show the first post or two on a new page until another one has been added. Anyway, I'll leave mine in too, if only for the H2H info.

Tough match next for Kyle, A lot of pressure on him as he is a good prospect. Maybe he read the negative comments about his WC and went out to prove people wrong Now he only has to beat Nadal to get a Wimbledon WC! lol
Great win for Kyle, I'd just been starting to worry that he might end up suffering Donald Young syndrome with all these WCs and very few recent back-to-back wins, so good to see him get through. Lousy 2nd round draw though.
Great result for Kyle, I don't really understand all the bickering about his schedule this year. By definition development is just that, he will not be judged as a tennis player by his ranking at 19. The fantastic early US results confirmed that futures had limitations in terms of development and it was time to see better players in competition. The ATP wild cards have shown that in the 1st set he is very competitive against players 30-70, second set 50-150 and the third a struggle against experienced players with a decent CH. Admittedly a crude assessment by me based on watching results as opposed to tennis. Armed with this information a new focus can be placed on specific areas of practice to optimise development. With the vagaries of the Challenger points system he will only get to see improvement with further wild cards, a string of challenger/futures events can surely wait until after the grass court season over which the LTA have some influence and can secure a high level of competition to test him at the highest level. We are very lucky to have an elite teenager who despite a complete absence of focus on ATP points scoring is still likely to sit in the worlds top 200 before his 20th birthday. Here's hoping for a good summer and more wild cards to aid ongoing development over the next 3 years should be fun.
