Marsalek 4-2 down by Dustov slipped and seems in a bit of pain. Trainer working on him now.

Dustov held for 5-2 but can barely run. If James just plays smart he will win.

Dodgy call for James on break point at 5-5, looked a certain double fault, didn't recover well and lost set 7-5. Dustov seems to have run his injury off and moving a lot better now.

Evo just started practicing with querrey, Ward was with Hewitt earlier.

Dom the Bomb is going well. I wish he would play more singles.

It appears that you are not alone in that thought. Dom has just tweeted

Losing 7-6 in the third in singles today really sucks. But man I miss singles!

Maybe a Qwc for Wimbledon? He could definitely beat players of that ranking.

And therein lies the problem. I am sure Dom would love a QWC for Wimbledon, but he is playing doubles at Eastbourne.

Dom for a qwc for Wimbledon, if he wasn't playing doubles in Eastbourne ? Sorry, not for me. How many singles matches has he played / won this year ?

I have no doubt that he could maybe do something in qualifying. But, for me, these should be going to players like Dave, Marcus and Oli, who are committed to trying to progress in singles.

Some close matches and lots of close sets against much higher-ranked opposition but I make that 1-12 in GB v non-GB matches and no ranking points A very good career best scalp for Myles though!

As usual I am left with the thought that if some of these guys could play as well as it looks like they did today on a more consistent basis they would be ranked a lot higher.

I thought Queen's tweeted that the main draw wasn't due out until Sunday (though that surprised me at the time) but it turns out it did come out on Saturday. Some interesting draws for the GB wild cards:

L56: (WC) James Ward WR 168 v Blaz Rola (SLO) WR 97 (CH 94 last month)
L56: (WC) Dan Evans WR 134 v Jürgen Melzer (AUT) WR 56 (CH 8 in 2011)
L56: (WC) Dan Cox WR 225 v Adrian Mannarino (FRA) WR 89 (CH 49 in 2011)

Rola is of course the player James beat 4-6 6-4 12-10 in the final qualifying round at Roland Garros last month!

Joe Salsbury has just graduated from Memphis. Given his score against Ryan H, I hope he decides to give tennis a go.
