Strange to hear that about Diego. He's usually so chilled. Maybe he could see, or waa anticipating she'd get tight and flat and trying to keep her intensity up, but it didnt work.
Possibly if it was very impressive, but to me Hev was in a nice rythym and was moving serenely into the next round. Maybe he just wanted her not to take the foot off the gas. I thought in particular Wozniak's cross court backhand started to give Hev difficulties midway through that 2nd set.
Naomi often slices the backhand so perhaps she should concentrate on improving that shot. After all Greg did pretty well with a sliced backhand and a powerful serve and forehand.
Heather lost 6 games in a row. During that period it seemed as if Wozniak could do no wrong and Heather nothing right. Heather kept hitting the ball hard down the middle of the court leaving Wozniak to pick out the angles and she never seemed to miss. In the third when Heather started to recover she seemed to be winning points by taking the ball later, waiting for Wozniak to commit and then hitting firmly into the space. Heather became more consistent and Wozniak kept being left stranded. Wozniak's two net cords at a critical time didn't help.

Either way - this was a great win for Wozniak and may be the surprise of the tournament so far. But now Babos has beaten Madison Keys? Really don't want Babos to win the tournament having reached the main draw as a lucky loser (really hate that rule whoever benefits from it).
I must admit before I tuned into BT Sport today I had never seen Konta play so this is what I made of it.
Her serve is undoubtedly her biggest weapon but then again I already had a good idea that was the case having looked at statistics from past matches and from other posters comments. I do think she relies on her serve quite a bit to keep her in matches (if that's not an obvious thing to say) because I just get the feeling that when that's not firing then the rest of her game tends to suffer but that is probably the same for a lot of players. Good forehand but groundstrokes in general a little erratic as PaulM alluded to and not a particularly great mover but then again I only saw a set and a bit. Wozniak I thought was a little more solid from what I saw (outside of those 3 double faults in the third game) and managed to carve out another good win and were she British I think she would be getting a lot more comment on this forum shall we say - some would be raving about her - and if we can hand the likes of Samantha Murray, Naomi Broady and Tara Moore a wild card for the main draw of Wimbledon then surely she should be considered - not many have beaten both Watson and Konta on grass in two successive days in their own country. I suspect she may have to go a bit deeper into the tournament for her to get one but could be wrong.
So ok she might not have been at her best today but neither was Nara yesterday most likely - it happens that's sport - swings and roundabouts. Should try and watch her a few more times I think.
