Slight aside re the Wimbledon draw, well Andy's no 3 seeding.
I saw John Inverdale yesterday discussing with Annabelle Croft the Wimbledon grass adjustment, and Inverdale then wondering that if things had been the other way round with rankings and grass results between Andy and Stan, whether Stan would have been moved up from 5 to 3.
I had to salute Annabelle's diplomacy in merely reemphasising, well, yes, it's a declared formula.
Like Annabelle, by the way, I am far from convinced that there should be any adjustment to the rankings.

I don't quite understand why the ladies don't use the formula as well as the men, it doesn't make much sense to me.

I think the adjustment can be justified on the basis that there are so few events on grass. The old method was wrong because it was totally arbitrary but a declared and transparent formula has rid us of that problem.
I don't know if it's been mentioned (I couldn't see it on a quick skim through) but compiling next week's T25 table, it looks like Fran is due to play in Konya, Turkey, where she is likely to be seeded.
There are lots of tournaments on offer in week 26, including four 25Ks and a 15K in Europe (which also reduces the strength of the 10Ks) so it's a pity more Brits aren't having a go. Those five 15/25Ks are all on clay, admittedly, but I assumed at least Amanda would be playing one of them.
There was a mass GB withdrawal in Portugal too - including Katy Dunne, who the ITF site says withdrew in April (I'm not sure entries were even open then! LOL)
