RE: Week 23 - ITF ($15K) - Sarajevo, Bosnia/Herzegovina Clay

Lisa has been playing for her Aegon team - Bath Uni - since mid May, both singles and dubs - last one lost to a Lindsay Cunnigham , a name that rings a bell with me but I can't place why.

Anyway, presumably this means Lisa is fully fit and raring to go.

Lindsay won a 10K back in 2005 and had some good results briefly after but by mid 2006 she seemingly gave up or maybe picked up an injury.

I'm sure a saw a tweet from Lisa saying she was enjoying playing again, but the serve was still an issue and she wanted to serve underarm

I know the original plan was to start playing in June and she playing locally for a few weeks. I've no issue with her having a go in qualifying at Nottingham to see where she is.

Anyway - good look to Eleanor. A very strong week this week and next, then she must consider moving up to 25ks

What a good win!  How many points does she get for that?

9 points for reaching sf. With 15 (+6) on offer for losing finalist, 25 for the winner

Compare 10K: 4 for sf, 7 for f, 12 to winner

Compare 25K: 9 for qf, 18 for sf, 30 for f, 50 for winner

Another excellent win for Eleanor, which should see her rise about 100 places on Monday week

QF: (Q) Eleanor Dean WR 726 beat Melis Sezer (TUR) WR 391 (CH 336 in Mar) by 2 & 3

SF: (Q) Eleanor Dean WR 726 v Lina Gjorcheska (MKD) WR 498 (CH 496 last month)

Well done !

That's 9 points for reaching the SF. Final would be 15 and the title 25.

If Eleanor were to win the title, that would be 28 + 25 = 53 points, and that would be more than the current 51 points of the GB no 12, Katie Boulter.

Not that I would mind Eleanor winning the title and Katie repassing her by picking up points in Nottingham next week !

The girls are on the march, and just now I'd say especially Eleanor.

I agree- its hard to not get excited about her, she has always had very impressive results with seemingly little prep. Its nice to have her back and on the climb.
