SF: (8) Johanna Konta WR 102 v Kristyna Pliskova CZE WR 118 (CH 86 in 2013)

H2H 0-1 - Pliskova won in 3 close sets on carpet at Paris WTA earlier this year

That's Jo more than matched her performances from this period last year and err got less points.

Last year : RG QR2 plus Nottingham SF : 40 + 50 = 90

This year : RG FQR plus Nottingham SF : 30 + 42 = 72

Never mind, she's done well and I generally prefer the points changes.

Just have to win her SF now !

Yes, CD, that last point was amazing, wasn't it - lobs, dropshots, the lot!

Following on from Indiana's post, despite other players notionally being in the same boat with this year's changes to the points system, JoKo is going to have to go a round further in both RG Q (as she has done) and Nottingham just to have a chance of ending up where she started the week, at WR 102!

 Unless I'm mistaken, this win takes Anna (514pts) and Jocelyn (504pts) to our new No.1 & No.2 GB doubles players
