Colin and Ross got off to a flyer. Had BP for 5-1 but Colin missed a volley. All went downhill from there sadly.

Ken Skupski and Mike Venus were behind early and never really in the match. Fought hard but never looked like winning.

Neal Skupski and Bradley Klahn had a real chance. Played really well but 2 DFs (1 each) in the 1st set tiebreak lost them the set. Were ahead a break in the 2nd set but a couple of net chords and "shanked" return winners from their opponents went against them Thought Neal looked in his element though.

Thanks for the firsthand reports, BiS. Tough draws all around - I was surprised by how well (Neal) Skupski and Mr Klahn did, especially given the latter's earlier exertions. That bodes really well. And very glad indeed that Mr Murray and Mr Peers came through.

Sat and watched Dom's mixed doubles from start to finish. But all I can remember is two things.

1) Dom (and partner) won

2) I got drenched.

The adjacent court had long since given up the ghost and abandoned because of the rain.

Dom served big in the final set. According to Louis Cayer, he was over 75% on 1st serve %age.
