The Mexican got through against the 6th seed by retirement, opening up the draw a bit. In fact, Jonny's quarter has opened up even more than that, because the 4th seed got beaten by a qualifier too!

Good win for Jonny. Toby has dipped results wise recently.
Well he's been the model of consistency really - he's scored 0 or 1 point in every tournament he's played this year. Two one pointers in May, two in April, one in March etc.
More than that, he's scored 0 or 1 point in every match he's played in the last 18 months, apart from one good tournament (semi-final). His level is absolutely even.
I like Toby - respectful, serious, good athlete - but, as said last year, I don't think he's really got the skill to challenge much higher. He could well make top 500 in a few years time, and should do so, but he hasn't got the natural skill of some of the others.
