And Sam won the second set easily so now there's a third set there too.

Should add though that this was Sam's second match of the day (and the Japanese girl's first) so it's not that surprising if Sam was a bit weary in the third set - AND she's got her doubles to come)

Well done Tara. She was a break up in the first set and led 30* in the tiebreak so did well to recover just in time.

At least Sam won a match I guess.

Again, not a great day in Japan but at least Tara managed to survive her R2 match (despite serving 21 double faults) and get to where she was seeded to reach.

Yes, I for one think that Sam should get a Wimbledon MD WC ( well, actually I don't think anyone should, but that's a separate debate ). And it then will rather depend what Sam turns up.
