Week 20 - ITF ($10K) - Sousse, Tunisia - Hard

Looks like Harriet and Jazzy are playing here this week.  Quite a small field with only a handful of ranked players.  It looks as if Harriet may be seeded.

RE: Week 20 - ITF ($10K) - Sousse, Tunisia

There are a couple of ringers that got WC qualifiers, so Harriet will be pushed down the rankings a little.

Lets hope Jazzamay avoids a seed in the first round and gets a good chance at that third counter.

Jazzamay has got what looks a good draw against a 16yr old French girl

Harriet is seeded 6 and has a good draw until QF where the third seed(via qualis) awaits.

L32: Harriet Dart(GBR) WR 970(6) v Adeliya Zabirova(RUS) UNR (aged 15)
L32: Jazzamay Drew(GBR) UNR v Margot Decker(FRA) UNR (aged 16)

The girls are playing together in the doubles and are 3rd seeds and have a bye

Harriet plays her singles tomorrow.

Have seen Margot D play - on clay - and thought she had a very solid game.  I know this is hard court but I would expect a fairly even match.

Margot beat the WR 726 and WR 761 in Greece a couple of weeks ago, before losing to the WR 549 in three tight sets.

Top post minor edit to add the surface.

Draw details updated below with Harriet's new ranking and Decker's entry player status, and also to add in the Russian's junior ranking, which suggests she won't be a pushover, especially if she has made it that high when she is only 15. Sounds from the last two posts as if Jazzamay may have her work cut out too. Who said points from North Africa were 'easy'?

L32: Jazzamay Drew UNR v (WC) Margot Decker (FRA) UNR (16-y-o)
L32: (6) Harriet Dart WR 932 v Adeliya Zabirova (RUS) UNR (15-y-o world junior no. 134)

Good start for Harriet against a potentially tricky opponent. She should have less problems in the next round.

Looks like we were right about Margot, The Opti - as she cruises into the semis, losing three games. . . .
