Given the plethora of GB women there, lots of doubles action, most playing with foreign opponents which is a good idea, imho. Wins for Lucy, Katie, Fran and Aimee:
In the Quarters: Lucy+ will play Katie+ , and Fran+ will play Aimee+
The 15-year-old qualfier from Montenegro upsets 2nd seed Lucy 6-2 5-7 6-3 - she actually beat Alice Balducci (ITA), then WR 459 and now WR 378, to qualify for a 25K at home in Podgorica last September but hadn't done much of note since and her junior career high is only just in the top 900, so who knows - maybe very erratic now but one to watch out for in the future.
Fran beat Antonia 0 & 4

As far as I am aware the only times where there is a rankings gap week in updates are for the Slams plus Indian Wells and Miami ( where the main draw gets going at the end of the previous week ).
The ATP rankings have been updated and I have been absolutely confident that the WTA rankings would be too. Though, err, taking their time !
Technical problems on the WTA site apparently. Though they've put up a weekly report which includes the first two pages of the pdf so why they can't just upload the whole pdf, I'm not sure - these days, they usually publish the pdf version a couple of hours before the main rankings pages get updated anyway. From the top 100 list in the report, I know that Laura has dropped one place to 63, but that's it for now.
Updated rankings on the site now. Obviously I was very wrong!
Fran lost the 1st set to Miyazaki but has taken the 2nd and is an early break up in the 3rd (hopefully significant - 'only' 3 breaks each so far in this match) 2-6 6-3 *1-0
