Has lost her last 5 service games. If it's anything to do with the shoulder she should be retiring. If its not, this is beyond miserable.

Yes, looks like something must be badly wrong - if it is injury, I hope she doesn't play through the pain and make it worse.

Oh dear!  I went off to do some marking at 6-1, 2-0 thinking she had the match well under control and came back to find all this!

Hev serving for the match, though serving not really an advantage - 16 breaks in 28 games so far!

15-30 30-30 40-30 MP

Yes!! A candidate for rollercoaster match of the year (I make it that Hev won 9 of the first 10 games, Feuerstein 8 of the next 9 and then Have 7 of the last 10!), brilliant that she came through!

L16: Heather Watson WR 122 beat Claire Feuerstein (FRA) WR 124 (CH 116 in 2012) by 6-1 4-6 7-5

QF: Heather Watson WR 122 v Kiki Bertens (NED) WR 151 (CH 41 in 2013)

H2H 0-2 - Bertens won 2 & 1 in Luxembourg in 2011 and in 3 sets in Auckland in 2013. Bertens struggled last summer, with a 2-11 record in main draws between the start of May and the end of the US Open. She was then out of action for the rest of the year but seems to be coming back into very good form - for example, she is 6-0 in Fed Cup singles this year, including wins against Wickmayer, Vekic and Nara.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS

Second set misery banished with a tremendous fightback from *2-5 down in the third, saving 5 match points.

Brilliant, typical fight from this very special girl. What a heart she has. Fantastic!

Well that was a bit of a bizarre match.

Brilliant comeback from Hev saving multiple match points, but how she managed to turn a 6-1 3-0 lead into a comeback victory is a bit confusing!

Bertens will be an interesting match next. Both players are a lot better than their current ranking to say the least.

Hev, the National Treasure! wink  Dogged or what?  I just don't know how she manages to keep pulling off these comebacks from the brink!   Glad she does, though! biggrin

R1:  (ALT) Nigina Abduraimova & Maria-Elena Camerin (UZB/ITA) CR 695 (376+319) defeated (WC) Gaia Sanesi (ITA) & Nicola Slater CR 739 (494+245)

*****

QF:  (4) Sharon Fichman (CAN) & Heather Watson CR 208 (56+152) vs Cecilia Costa & Ekaterine Gorgodze (CHI/GEO) CR 643 (230+413)
