With the Main Draw cut off line next week for Wimbledon, Im hoping both Jo and Heather can do well this week to ensure the Main Draw spot without requiring a Wildcard.

Yes, would be great if one or both of Heather and Jo could get into the Wimbledon MD without requiring a WC.

Undoubtably these two will be ranked GB nos 1 and 2 after Wimbledon. Will be good if they can be taking these positions with their rankings significantly on the rise.

Still no new rankings on the WTA site but the iPhone app seems to have updated rankings on it so I'll risk using them:

L32: Johanna Konta WR 114 beat (WC) Myrtille Georges (FRA) WR 287 (CH 245 last May) by 2 & 1

L16: Heather Watson WR 122 v Claire Feuerstein (FRA) WR 124 (CH 116 in 2012)
L16: Johanna Konta WR 114 v (5) Sharon Fichman (CAN) WR 90 (CH 87 in Mar)

JoKo v Fichman H2H 1-0 - Jo beat the Canadian 4 & 2 in last year's Vancouver final, though Fichman also had a w/o win in 2012.

Was not expecting that after such a fine start. But when players are short of match practice like Hev is, they can often struggle to correct things when they start to go wrong. I'm still hopeful Hev will turn it back around before it's too late though.
