I've seen Torebko play and that was indoors where he looked totally out of his depth. He looked a natural clay courter and he is probably playing on his best surface and getting somewhere near to his best.
Eames has levelled against Neil, winning the 2nd set 6-4
Ashley, now the highest seed left after the top 4 seeds managed to win just 3 matches between them this week, is about to serve for the match 6-2 *5-4 - in fact, he was unseeded when he won the title here last year, though the top seeds did a lot better than last year - he beat the 2nd seed in the Final and the 3rd seed also made the semis.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Arguably Kyle's best performance of the week in defeat, a match played at high intensity, with not much in it, but ultimately his serve wasn't as good as it can be, woke up with slight stiffness in the back. Torebko was very good mind you, never letting up, a better player than his ranking suggests thats for sure. Greg has been working on a few things in Kyle's game for long term gain, but it may also result in a little bit of short term pain. Coming to the net when on top in points instead of reengaging in long baseline rallies is a specific area they are looking at. Overall wasn't able to match his Italian form but still a decent performance given his opponents prowess.
Ash v Jathan
Ash carried on his imperious form of the week winning with a little bit of comfort ( beginning to look like a Newcastle specialist ) looking good to make finals. I was in major chat mode during this match so didn't watch the match in huge detail.
Neil v Aussie
Neil had to dig deep and battle through this match, overcoming a back problem, which I think he has to manage at times. Great effort to get to the semis this week and just hoping he can do something a bit special tomorrow.
I believe the Benin guy had to save match points so hopefully Ash can get through his match, won't be easy.
The Semi of the doubles was well contested, not much in it, some top class rallies for a nice gathering of spectators to enjoy.
And watch this space, not inconceivable, that this tournament might be upgraded to a challenger in years to come.
Thanks so much for the reports Phil. And to anyone else who posts reports. It's great to hear courtside stuff.
And well done to Neil and Ash. The others - Liam, Kyle, Marcus, Luke etc. - have all had some great results recently, so nice to see it being shared around and Neil and Ash getting their rewards too. Best of luck to them tomorrow.
