Week 19 - Great Britain F11 ($10,000) - Newcastle (Clay)

I'd love to see a Kyle/Luke final.

Although I can't say I'd be too opposed to a Kyle/Marcus final either.

Get in Jathan - i didn't see that coming, but he is quite useful on clay and is playing very consistently at the moment.

Climbing up the rankings with little to defend until July now

Strange Liam and Luke not doing grass especially after Lukes win against Pella last year. Maybe Liam feels he can scoop up points easier in the states I'm assuming Luke will be going with him? Didn't work out too well for Oli if I recall skipping grass last year.

Not surprisingly, that's a career best ranking scalp for Jathan by some distance. Marcus may not have been at his best (Phil mentioned a MTO on Twitter), but still a great result for Jathan.

Whatever points Liam and Luke may or may not be able to "scoop" away from the grass court scene, I'd say it probably won't do them any harm at all in the grand scheme of their general development not to bother with a few weeks of grass.

To guys like them at this stage I'd say grass is really an unneeded pretty much irrelevance. In some ways I'm quite impressed by the number of our guys that don't just let themselves almost be automatically sucked into it. No particular reason why they should almost interrupt their general year for the British grass court season just because they are Brits.
