And Marcus and Jonny stormed into the doubles SF without dropping a game or even a point, OK without hitting a ball.

I assume that since the QF was a W/O rather than a bye that that's at least 6 points guaranteed. Nice work :)

Don't think they do get points as R16 was a bye.  Think you have to win a round somewhere before you get points - if they'd played and won in the R16, then they would've got points for the W/O QF match.

Although Marcus & jonny rested  on one hand it's good  but on the other it's a missed opportunity to improve their understanding and at this stsge 6 points not any good for Marcus as 18 points ( -10 ) will only generate a net increase of 8 points . But a positive is get another title with jonny this week and that's a useful new secondary partnership developed for futures.

Regards gary

Well done to Luke. As I said earlier I didn't really think that that was that bad a R1 draw, though I must admit that I hadn't twigged that van Peperzeel had beaten him last week.

It was listed in the H2Hs in the post immediately before your comment LOL ... but I'll let you off wink

I realise the H2Hs aren't so obvious if they're not next to the matches they apply to but the last time I tried to include lots of H2Hs next to matches in a draw that big, there were (very legitimate) complaints that the draw looked like a bit of dog's breakfast smile

3 Brits go out in the bottom quarter of the draw but Keelan has made a spirited start in an attempt to prevent a GB wipeout in that quarter - up 3-1* early on against the 2nd seed.

Ashley a set up, Alex Ward into a final set.

Thought Toby would put up more of a fight.

His opponent (born and brought up in France, went to college at Texas A&M) did win Benin's first ever ITF Pro singles title 2 weeks ago though - I thought it might turn out to be tough for Toby.

Keelan won the 1st set against the 2nd seed 6-4 but is *0-3 down in the 2nd

Alex is locked in quite a struggle with Eames, *5-5 in the 3rd - edit: Eames just broke and will serve for the match

Ashley is only in the 2nd set of his match v Hänle, but both very close - 7-6(2) 5-5*

Alex was a break down in the final set(3-5) and had just broken back only to be broken again.

I was really expecting big things from Alex this week on his favoured surface....

Keelan has broken back, Ashley has just won and Jathan is a break up.

Interesting race for the 25th position on Steven's table with Burts likely to be under pressure from Rob Carter and Toby Martin.

Fab win for Keelan, taking out a top 300 player ranked 1273 (!) places above him in straight sets - his previous best scalp was Liam when Liam was ranked in the 800s!

Kyle's taken the 'let's not hang about in 10K Futures' thing to heart - he gives up just 8 points in the 1st set as he bagels the unfortunate Spanish qualifier who drew him in R1
