A wet start, but play was able to commence shortly after 11 a.m
Ash v Klegou
From the first point Ash looked in control of this match, dominating most rallies, his opponent already looking as if he was worried about a hand injury. Ash really just had to keep at it and not lose his focus, and stay patient. Occasionally the Benin guy would lift his level to defend break points but other than that Ash was in complete control. I was sitting beside Ash's coach Rob until *3-2 in the second when I thought I'd have a quick look at how the doubles final was getting on. Whilst I did that Ash was broken back but a couple of points later his opponent retired with a hand injury ( he later showed me his hand which was bruised from playing alot of matches ) Ash practiced a bit after the match.
Neil v Torebko
Having briefly spoken to Neil before the match started I was very apprehensive how the match would pan out, Neil referring to his back which was very stiff and saying that there was a likelihood that he would have to serve underarm. But the 1st set was very competitive and Neil did indeed serve for it at 5-4, but after that it was all 1 way traffic sadly, and in the last game before Neil had to retire he resorted to serving underarm. Big shame because Neil had been playing well all week, he's had problems with his back before so hopefully with a few days rest he'll ready to get back playing again.
Jonny + Marcus's double final
Just caught the backend of this, but they looked in complete charge, and a great combination.
The final tomorrow could be played indoors which won't suit either player, but may hinder the German more. Ash is in a very confident mood so I really fancy his chances to retain his title but it will be a very tight match most probably.
Johnny O'Mara is a good prospect he has been talked about since aged 10/11 in Scotland. But he is Scotlands teenage sensation I would say No he is not another Andy Murray.
Looking back David Brewer was hyped up he never fulfilled his potential.

Did not say he's another Murray seems a nice kid Always polite and friendly
Yes but saying he is a teenage sensation is a bit over the top. Johnny is still developing his game if he breaks into the top 300 I would be shocked. Seen him play a few times not doubting he is a nice guy just don't build up doesn't need the pressure

If you are 19 & men's singles no2 thats Scotland's teenage sensation ,
Eg take Andy out of the equation when was last time they had a player capable of making the top 300 singles or by the evidence of the doubles performance another colin Fleming ? So he may not be a sensation by your standards which are obviously higher than mine .
But I would say a player of that quality & Scottish one every 8-10 years they don't grow on trees that's for sure ask hey John ?

Never underestimate Gary's predilection for hyperbole, scottie! Statements like that from him should always be taken with a whacking great pinch of salt!
