Week 18 - Spain F7 ($10,000) - Móstoles (Hard)

It's a strange week when Spain is the closest place to go to find a tournament that is not on clay! The draw could be better - Josh gets one of the highest-ranked unseeded players and the unseeded Brits both play seeds in R1 - Matt getting the 2nd seed in R1 for the 2nd week in a row:

L32: (6) Josh Milton WR 578 v Michael Bois (FRA) WR 630 (CH 582 last Jul)
L32: James Marsalek WR 622 v (7) Jaime Pulgar-García (ESP) WR 586 (CH 572 in Feb)
L32: Matthew Short WR 872 v (2) Juan-Samuel Arauzo-Martínez (ESP) WR 498 (= CH)

James is struggling against Jaime. I know there's two of them, so it probably looks more than it is, but those J PG boys seem to crop up with remarkable regularity against the GB boys.

James lost 6-4 in the third :(

Matt got the first set 6-4 against the second seed. H'es had some nasty draws recently - would be lovely to see him nail this one.

Josh needs to have a good week here - he's had a very average 12 months results wise.

Shorty is 5-4* up second set

Matt was 6-2 or 6-3 up in the second set TB - thought he had it in hand - came back and, he did, but only 10-8 - pleased I didn't watch !

Shorty seems to have one decent meeting each year and not much after that. Great chance to follow this up and pick up more points.

Matt is now down a set and a double break 4-6 1-4* ... I thought after yesterday, this would be a relatively 'easy' one
