Thats a good question so I will try and give you a honest answer -
I don't know but going to give bomb a call in a minute so I will find out .
Cheers A1. And wish him luck from me for the match (matches?) today !
Going by one of the match photos yesterday, I believe that Marcus was playing on the left hand side
Is that Jonny's photo? Coz I thought Jonny was serving in that one (so then Marcus would have to be on the left, just for his service game, of course). But they're all in white and I don;t have my glasses so I might have got the teams the wrong way round.

There was another photo from their semifinal when they were playing both the Lukes and I'm sure Marcus was returning on the left hand side. I'll try and find the photo if I can
Marcus is a player of huge versatility and natural team player he will tend to play the side that is his partners preference .
Personally I think in most cases it should be the left particularly with a less experienced player .
I also like to think that Marcus experience might be better on the critical Ad points . In truth it's a matter of experimentation and I my experience with playing with Marcus I would prefer him on the ad side for those big ad points even though I preferr the backhand .

Cheers Jake. TO be honest, it would make far more sense. If A1 (or anyone else) sees this, I always wondered why Marcus and Lewis played that way round - must be about the only team on the tour who do. But it obviously works. Just wonder how it sort of happened.

But the returning team get to chose the side for the Ad points. So you can chose for the right-side player to return them. . . .
Jathan was winning 6.1 1.2 when the match was rained of then it was finished indoors. Apparently mr Klein said he was so lucky it went inside because he would have lost to jathan on the clay. Not surprised he gave a walk over!

Ashley won 4-6 6-2 6-3 - it is the second year in a row he has won a QF here from a set down (Luke was the victim last year) - he plays Neil in the semis (H2H 3-0)

One very unhappy Aussie. After amazingly not managing to break his racquet when he went *4-6 down in the TB, after losing the last point he thrashed a ball over the adjoining court onto the main road. It may be halfway back to the centre of Edinburgh by now.
Very good controlled tennis by Marcus on the last few points of the TB broke the Aussie down.
Marcus serving for the match but GvP has a bp ... Saved (Marcus 2 from 13 on bps so far, GvP 1 from 2) MP Marcus ...
QF: (1) Marcus Willis WR 360 beat (8) Gavin van Peperzeel (AUS) WR 571 (CH 543 in Mar) by 7-6(4) 6-4 QF: (5) Liam Broady WR 449 beat (4) Julien Cagnina (BEL) WR 451 (CH 443 earlier this month) by 6-1 2-0 ret. QF: (7) Neil Pauffley WR 559 beat (3) Brydan Klein WR 405 by w/o QF: (2) Ashley Hewitt WR 406 beat (6) Maverick Banes (AUS) WR 550 (= CH) by 4-6 6-2 6-3
SF: (1) Marcus Willis WR 360 v (5) Liam Broady WR 449 SF: (2) Ashley Hewitt WR 406 v (7) Neil Pauffley WR 559
Marcus v Liam H2H: 3-2, a 2 & 1 win for Liam in 2011 but 3-1 to Marcus last year Ashley v Neil H2H: 3-0, all in 2012/13 - Ashley won the first one in 3 sets, the other two in straights.
Edit: although Marcus leads the H2H 3-2, one of the wins was a retirement and Liam's wins were both very emphatic, so if you count the retirement set as 1 for Marcus, he leads 3-2 in matches but it's 5-5 in sets and 52-38 to Liam in individual games won. Could be interesting then!

Guaranteed GB winner and also Neil P is getting closer to top 500
Brydan should now be top 400 which would make 13 inside the top 400. Ashley could, but has a lot of points to defend.
Just leaves the injured Richard Gabb, Ashley and Tom F to be the main contenders to break into the top 400. Tom F has not played for a while. Is he fit now?

Impressive from Liam winning 8/9 games, difficult to pick a winner between Marcus/Liam.
