Ha, it is indeed dry and much brighter in Edinburgh, though I concede that beautiful summer's day would be somewhat of an exageration if not indeed a lie.
Hey, but I should actually get there tomorrow, so if it is dry and there is now going to be more tennis on offer, all good.
Jonny & Marcus run out (relatively) easy s agin the second seeds.
Final: (3) Jonny O'Mara & Marcus Willis CR 1063 (825+238) defeated (2) Maverick Banes & Gavin van Peperzeel (AUS/AUS) CR 798 (476+322) by 7-6(3) 6-1
Well done to Jonny and Marcus, beating the 1st and 2nd seeds in straight sets on the same day! Big title milestones for both too - it's Marcus's 20th Futures doubles title and Jonny's 1st Futures title of any sort

Once again Marcus Willis has underlined his tremendous ability and versatility as both a player and leader on the doubles court
Its great that he has combined with the young Scotsman to win his first futures title on his home soil . Well done young Jonny O 'Mara .
We will particularly post Wimblebon Focus on challengers but 9 consecutive futures Doubles finals 6 titles in 4 months & 3RU combined with a challengers SF means that we are on target for Top 200 doubles ranking before the end of 2014 . I am also sure that the boost to morale that this significant success will bring can be taken on to the singles court .

Marcus's 18th in the 18th month we have been working together
Incredibly 16 ( 13 D & 3 S ) in last 12 months . I think it's a new trophy cabinet for Christmas 2014 and surely this record tally must twist the arm of the all england selectors for a doubles WC .
Leon has advised us this week that the new cut for a doubles WC will be CR 400
So Lewis will fly out for Roma challenger with Dan Evans to try pick up some big points and Marcus will go for another 18 points with young jonny O 'Mara .
Currently need another challenger SF and around 3-4 futures titles so it's going to be very tight ! Let's hope the selectors are a little flexible and take into accounts marcus 's record 16 futures titles in last 12 months .
