I don't remember seeing one, Bob. Maybe you did what I did at the weekend - I wrote a post on the Namangan thread, went to check something, got distracted, came back assuming I'd posted it and found it unposted (still in the quick reply box) when I was closing down browser tabs 6 hours later!

I don't think that is the case. This is twice in a week that this has happened. The first time I put it down to the explanation re not actually clicking on "quick post", which had occurred to me. So today I was particularly careful about confirming I had actually posted. The post actually read something like:
Evan retired ? I really hope that isn't a recurrence of his recent stress fracture of the back.

Anyway, maybe it is just me and I am going gaga.
Ah, there's one other possibility I can think of (apologies if you already know about this and you're sure it's not what happened) - if you are in the advanced edit box (the one get if you reply, edit or select it the advanced edit option while writing in the quick reply box), the Submit button is to the bottom right of the edit box but if you just do a quick reply, the button to the bottom right of the edit box is "Subscribe" instead. Terrible design/downgrade (I think the bottom right button used to be the submit button for both type of edit boxes) - if that is what you did and you've registered an email address here, the board will have generated an email to you the next time someone added something to the thread.
I must have got used to it now because I don't remember it happening for a while, but when they first changed it, it kept catching me - posts I'd written would seem to vanish into thin air and soon afterwards, I'd get an annoying email too!
