Nerves perhaps understandable, but I do hope she doesn't have the James Ward tendency to go uber-defensive and think "don't lose" rather than "keep on being aggressive" when close to the winning post.
Well the one positive is that the nerves and inability to cope with them have become a clear issue this fortnight, and her team can make sure they focus in on that and help her work on techniques to control them better for her next final.
Two finals is superb and a great step forward in her career, but pretty rough ways to lose them both.
Rough luck for Katie, the ability/the attitude to have a highly successful pro career are all there. A few nerves here and there are normal, and should toghen her up for future battles.
Ah pity, but yes, Katie is still very young, making her way in the game, and these sort of setbacks will only add to her experience and hopefully with her team can stengthen her for the future.
Let's be careful of labelling her too much with tendencies at this stage in her career and from a couple of finals.
