Eleanor's stunning comeback continues (she's now 17-2 in singles this year!) ... her next opponent's run to the Final as an unranked qualifier must have been pretty special too!

Nice to see Eleanor in control of her service games. No bps faced. Won 75% of her service points. Previous round she was just broken the once. Winning 2/3 of her service points.

She must be the favourite for the title? Quite the comeback 5 tournaments and 2 wins isn't bad. If she manages to do that

Looks like the match has been awarded to Eli on a retirement. smile 

5-1 first set. One way traffic anyway.

 

Her third career pro title (that 3 times the number of our #1 ranked player BTW) and her second this year since her comeback from 2-3 years of almost permanent injury. Talented young lady.

Will be very interesting to see who is our #1 player in 3 years time....injury concerns aside, I'd put a sneaky bet on Eli on pure talent and athleticism
