Only saw the last two sets, but Wardy won them comfortably. Not sure what happened in the first set.

Before the match you'd have expected James to win easily. Although after the 1st set he's done well to come through, well done!

I saw one game of the first set, and it was not pretty. Saw a bit more of the 3rd set, which was far superior. Glad that he was able to keep going through the rough patch and win.

First set to Rice and Thornley, 6-4. Some very good work getting out of a 0-40 situation at 4-3.

They were 0-40 down on Sean's serve at 3-4, then won 10 points in a row and have just taken the first set 6-4. Jenkins has just called for the trainer for a shoulder injury.

They seemed to want to protect that injury with Young swapping sides and serving first again but it doesn't work as a double sees Young broken again.

Rice broken when serving for the match. 5-5.

Lost the set 7-5. Not sure they can pull this off now as their body language has took a turn for the worse. Their upset they've not finished it.

R1:  Jarmere Jenkins & Donald Young (USA/USA) CR 678 (251+427) defeated (Q) Dave Rice & Sean Thornley CR 433 (217+216) by 4-6 7-5 [10-8] bleh

The boys fashioned two breaks of service in the second set.  Indeed, they served for the match at 6-5, but were apparently unable to capitalise...  cry

Dead net cord at 8-8 in the MTB, though they should have put the ball away twice already. They just can't seem to establish themselves at challenger level.

That's a pity. I only watched the first set, but they had some nice games in it.

What a shame, looked at the livescores just before bed and saw they were 6-4 *1-0 up!

*5-6 in the 1st set - 2 bps created by each player so far, all taken. James was *3-5 but broke when Sock served for the set.
