RE: Week 17 - Great Britain F9 ($10,000) - Bournemouth (Clay)

Great news.

Have to say i hope Liam wins. Think he could do with the win more. Once Liam gets the confidence back I think he's going to motor on again. Just think he has some doubt in the back of his mind

Yes, turning into a really encouraging week for the future with Kyle, Liam, Luke, Eleanor and Katie B all doing well, and indeed Cameron too.

Good also to see such fine efforts by these old stagers, Naomi and Alex :)

They've been about to take it for more than half an hour! Hopefully just a scoreboard glitch and they have won by now, but if they got broken serving for the match, it might still be going on.

Brydan Klein had  serious full out with umpire at 5-5 and Aussies serving which might explain the delay

Marcus & Lewis wisely fed off the disharmony in the opponents camp and some lovely winners from Lewis got the important break in tight set . Last 2 games Lewis was in the zone and Brydan got him seriously fired up .

As soon as Brydan lost his temper I knew we had 5th Doubs  title of 2014 in the bag . lewis served out with an almost perfect love service game .

Nice to hear the 'on site' live review. So, Brydan is still gets a 'little worked up'! Who'd have thought . . .

A perfect finale to the week in Bournemouth. Liam continuing the form from his last tournie and Bambo basically replicating his progressive form for the whole year. I think Bambo is a bit of a bogey player for Liam so eventhough Liam's route to the final may have been more impressive, Bambo may be favourite, whoever wins I expect a very close match.

Liam wins from breaks down in both sets!

FINAL: (4) Liam Broady WR 447 beat (8) Luke Bambridge WR 609 by 5 & 2

His 2nd Futures singles title should see Liam move into the ATP top 400 on Monday week, and from GB no. 16 now to GB no. 12.
