Jo holds to 15, is this the start of the fight back?

The good news is that Anna is only getting 40% of her 1st serves in this set, the bad news is that she is winning 62% on 1st serve and 66% on 2nd serve.

That was exciting / nerve-wracking to follow!

FQR: (q8) Johanna Konta WR 117 v Gioia Barbieri (ITA) WR 221 (CH 216 earlier this month)

H2H 0-1 - Barbieri (who upset top Q seed Pironkova today) beat JoKo 4 & 5 in juniors in Salsomaggiore way back in 2007

I called Barbieri to win through to play Joko and I'll predict that she will beat Joko.

I saw her defeat Jade at Preston and she beat her very comfortably and looked a natural clay court player, very good defensively and has a good all round game.

I read your prediction and checked her results and was not sure why you were so confident then saw that she had taken the 1st set against Pironkova 6-1 and thought you must be psychic smile

It was a long match 2 hrs 22 mins in all, so Jo must have been pretty fit to pull through against such a tough opponent.
