Quite an impressive coincidence - I assume the draw's been up for a couple of hours yet we managed to post it (both even picking up the junior ranking) within about 20 seconds of each other biggrin

So, as steven says, that's either the first ranking point ever for Dommie Covington.

Or Sabrina's third ranking point this year and so a WTA ranking again !

Just looking at Dominique's record, this will be her 13th 10K singles main draw (maybe the usually 'unlucky 13' can turn lucky, though Sabrina seems to be getting a bit better again) - it is the 8th time she has come through qualifying (plus once as a lucky loser) and she has had 1 main draw wild card and been a direct acceptance twice.

She has actually managed to win 18 matches in qualifying for 10Ks and above but in her previous 12 main draw appearances, she has only managed to take one set - the very first one (the time she was a lucky loser), when Lucy Brown beat her 4-6 6-2 6-0 in R1 in Wrexham in January 2011.

Wow - i knew i had seen her name on the first round draws several times, but i didn't realise it was that many.

To come through 8 times in qualifying and win just one set in all main draw matches is very unusual.
