Well done to Alex on another final. That now takes him to a minimum of 103 points on Monday week, which looks likely to be enough to get him back into the top 400. But, hey, 111 points would be rather better :)
Now being aware of his interesting futures and challengers record last year, I thought I'd check something out. And...
Alex since his return has already scored more futures ranking points than he did in the whole of 2013 !
2013 :
Futures : 18 points from 8 counters, best QFs ( plus I think probably a few non counters )
Challengers : 66 points from 7 counters
ATP : 12 points from 1 counter ( qualifying for Stuttgart )
Total : 96 points from 16 counters
2014 :
Futures : 21 points from 3 counters ( in one final, runner up in another final and a L16 )
Did anyone pick up any news on why Alex pulled out of the final? He certainly does not appear to be anything less than top form this week I'm pleased to say.
