Not sure any of the girls will get through their singles matches.

dom the only one playing today
awful start had her at *0-5
but a mini revival found her still in the set at *2-5 *40-0
but she managed to lose that game and so the first set 2-6

nope not closing out that set broke her literal and figurativeley
the american held and broke so dom loses 2-6 5-7

coulda forced a decider
maybe next time
relatively to her career she does seem to be showing improvement so a point in an event like this might come eventual

This result makes me very happy

Sabrina get a lot of bad commentary (as indeed does Danielle); no one has been able to shed any light on her complete collapse in form.

That she stuck at it, came back, and achieved even just the small victory of another professional match victory - never mind the point - is the sort of personal achievement with which I can identify and find human value.

Well done Ms. Bamburac, well done.

Bloody Hell - Sabrina won. It's been a long time since that happened.

Last time i saw her she had the yips on her serve and her forehand was quite weak.

Well done, Sabrina, I hope that this gives her a real boost moving forward.

Gordienko's record may not really stand up to a great deal of scrutiny, but it's still a very decisive 10K win.
