Frankly, after watching Rona play yesterday and today against Pera, im excited. Shes got everything. She has what it takes to make it to the top. And she will. i believe she is just starting to breakthrough and really show us what shes got and once she unleashes her potential and wins her first event she will be unstoppable.

For a third time, Freya goes close against Liebens, but once again the Belgian comes out on top, leaving no Brits in the middle two quarters of the draw Just 5 out of 16 Brits in R1 made it to R2 in the end, with only Katie managing to defeat a non-Brit. The bottom quarter isn't looking too bad though!

2nd MP for liebens

Freya won the same #of points in the match and had more BP (5/13 vs 7/10)

good work against that ranking but no reward today
her day will surely come.

All of the Brits were first on court this morning:

Katy beat Katie by a perhaps surprisingly clear margin, 1 & 2

In the match to decide her next opponent, Jade is very surprisingly a set down to the lucky loser who edged Freya yesterday 4-6 *2-3

Lucy lost 1 & 2 to top seed Kuwata

Harriet lost the 1st set 6-1 to Pirazhenka. She was 4-1 up in the 2nd set but it's now 4-4*

There have been a couple of long breaks in Jade's match, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's picked up a niggle, or recurrence, of some kind.

Jade's result is a big suprise. I hope she's not injured. I know she has been struggling with that serve of hers though.

Katy seems back to form - i'm suprised in that margin. I thought Katie B had more talent, but she cannot seem to string results together at senior level.

Looks like just Katy in the QF now. She should beat Niedmers comfortably if she is back on form.
